Wonford Community Wellbeing Hub

Live and Move has been engaging with residents in Wonford since 2019, working with them to develop plans for the Leisure and Community Centre which sits right in the heart of the community.

The existing buildings were developed a long time ago and look tired. They don’t connect residents with the beautiful green space that sits directly next to it, and they don’t provide a welcoming facility that local people want to use.

Planning permission was granted for the new facility in 2025 and funding provided by Sport England and Exeter City Council. The striking new hub will accommodate a cafe area, indoor changing facilities, studio, gym and refurbished sports hall. There will also be a new Wheelchair Sports viewing and storage area.
