Newtown is changing and
We want your view
Live and Move want to help make Newtown a place where you can connect with other people in your community and move around more easily. To find out how best to make that happen, we need to hear from you!
We are working with Exeter City Council and Devon County Council to make it easier for people to walk and cycle in Newtown and to enjoy moving around safely. We’re also interested in ways to reduce traffic and carbon emissions, as the city council’s Carbon Neutral 2030 plan is an ambitious undertaking that we feel we all need to play a part in.
We want to hear from you about how to make your streets safer, more pleasant, and increase ‘Active Travel’, which means making more short journeys (or parts of journeys) by foot or bicycle rather than car.
How to give us your view
Click here or follow the links on the Live and Move social media pages to give your view on Newtown
Phase 1 of our consultation process is a chance for you to tell us how you feel about the Newtown area and comment on different aspects, which we prompt, so we can get a broad view of what’s going on.
In 3 easy steps you can let us know what you think about all sorts of things like pavements, play areas, cycle paths, crossings, access, trees… we will read every click and every comment, so tell us whatever is on your mind!
Once you’ve been on the consultation site, we’d really appreciate you sharing it with anyone else who lives in or visits Newtown so they can tell us their view, too.
Keep an eye out here on the Live and Move website and on our social media for updates. We’ll let you know when this first 4 week phase of the consultation has ended, tell you about what we’ve learned and give you an idea of what we propose to do next.
There will be another chance to get involved after Phase 1. We want to do this with you and for you, bringing your voice to the decision makers to make things happen.
This is your chance to be involved in designing Newtown’s future!
