How we use your personal information

Live and Move is the brand name of the Exeter and Cranbrook Sport England Local Delivery Pilot. This programme of works exists to discover what the barriers are that prevent people in our communities from becoming more physically active than they are now.

We aim to work at a hyper local (individual), community and strategic level within the council and with partners, to increase levels of physical activity in Exeter and Cranbrook

We collect your data when you contact us. Usually this includes your name and email address. If you provide us with images or other information, we may store these as well with your permission.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, we will only process your information if you give us your consent.

We use cookies on our website, which tell us things like how many users have visited certain pages. This data can only be viewed by us in an anonymised form, we cannot identify or track individuals who have visited our website.

What we will do with it

Any personal information provided will only be used for the purpose of getting in touch with you after you have requested this by filling in an online contact form or contacting us in another manner. Contact details and the name that you provide us with may be shared with colleagues on the Live and Move programme but will not be shared with external partners without your permission, and then only to assist you with your query.


How long will we keep your information?

We will keep your information for 6 months from the date when your query or work with us has been dealt with or ended. At this point, your personal information will be securely disposed of.

Your information will be stored on password protected systems held on secure servers.

What are your rights?

You can make a request to access the information we hold about you by making a request to our Data Protection Officer.  If at any point you believe the information we hold on you is incorrect you can request to have it corrected or deleted.  If you wish to raise a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
