Following the success of Phase I of the Newtown Community Active Travel programme, we can now report that Phase II is ready to begin.
Work will begin on Monday 14 September, and the first week of activity consists of drainage surveys. If you live or work in Newtown, you might spot a van with CCTV camera equipment and a tanker used to clean out the drains. There will be one temporary set of traffic lights which we hope won’t cause too much disruption.
The second phase of this work will begin later this month and as soon as we have a start date for that, we’ll of course let you know via this page and through our social media platforms.
