Exeter Chiefs Foundation Charity Walk 2026

Aug 11, 2026

Live and Move and Exeter City Council are thrilled to once again be supporting the annual Exeter Chiefs Foundation Charity Walk.

This fun event will take place on Saturday 26 September. In exchange for walking the 12km route, participants will receive a t-shirt, a pasty and a pint, and a free ticket to watch the opening match of the season at Sandy Park.

Funds raised at this event will go to St Petrocks, the Exeter based charity supporting homeless people in the city. Those experiencing homelessness walk an average of 12 miles every day and the route has been slightly extended this year so that participants experience walking a similar distance.

Lead Councillor Duncan Wood who took part last year said that the day proved to be a fun day out for everybody who took part.

He said: “I wasn’t sure how long the walk would take me, but I laced up my trainers and got stuck in. The route was fairly easy, and it was great to see walkers of all ages and abilities taking part, from babies in prams to pensioners, and we even had a few four-legged friends having a go too.”

“I would encourage everybody to sign up and to support this brilliant local charity. It’s a fun and sociable day out.”

The route starts at Wonford Community Centre and will finish at Sandy Park in plenty of time to watch the match. To book your place on this year’s walk, go to: 2026 Community walk with St Petrocks
